About Me
Hi, I’m Veneta and I’m so glad you’re here!
When I graduated from college, I had $30K in debt. Fast-forward to today and I’m the proud mama of two rambunctious boys and a full-time freelancer. I replaced my full-time salary in three months. We paid off all of our debt, including our house and cars.
For many years, I wished I could find the secret to financial freedom and figure out how to make money on my own terms. Going to work every day and only having the weekends with my family was frustrating.
Now I work from home for myself and design my own schedule around my family. Maybe you’d like to do the same.
Here’s what I’d love to share with you:
- How to manage your money the right way even if you’re a spender (I am!)
- Budgeting tips and tricks
- How to get out of debt once and for all
- Money-saving ideas and strategies
- How to make money from home
- Side hustle ideas anyone can start
- How to quit your job and work on your own terms
Clipping coupons and pinching pennies will only get you so far. These are tactics that, while helpful, won’t get you to the finish line. Here, I’ll share my strategy for eliminating debt systematically and increasing your savings.
Welcome to day one of getting smart with your money!
MY STORY
If someone would have told me five years ago that I’d be able to work from home and spend more time with my kids, I’d laughed. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that my husband and I can create a flexible lifestyle centered around our family and not our work.
You see, I had been laid off three times in two years.
Losing my job was scary and every layoff made me more determined to get my finances under control. This was hard work. As a spender by nature, it was difficult to change my mindset and my habits. However, having financial stability was more important to me.
This is what drove us as a family to pay off our house and both cars and LIVE DEBT FREE.
When the fourth lay off happened, we were ready. This time it was my husband.
Instead of panicking, we took this speedbump as an opportunity. My husband built the business he’s always wanted and started working on his own terms.
When he was working a corporate job, he suffered through an hour-long commute each way. Between the endless office politics, terrible management and limited family time, something had to change. He only got to see our new baby for about an hour each night.
Fast forward five years and we’re both working from home and spending time with our two boys. We take our kids to school and pick them up each day. We each built a business that works around our family so we can enjoy watching our kids grow up.
This was only possible because we built a financial runway that gave us the stability to pursue our dreams.
This is what I want for you, dear friend. I want you to live life on your own terms. Spend your time in ways that matter to you and not a big corporation or your boss.
You too can pay off your debts, build financial stability and decide how to spend your time. My ultimate goal with this blog is to teach you how to take charge of your life and set yourself free.
If I can go from spending every paycheck to being debt free, you can too.
You too can build a flexible schedule that works around your priorities.
You too can work from home and spend time with your kids.
Every mom deserves a choice. You should be able to choose how much of your time is spent with your family and how much is spent working. Kids grow up fast and you can’t get that time back.
Will it take hard work and dedication to make this happen? Absolutely! However, you need to believe it’s possible and YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.
I’ll show you how to get your finances in order and take charge of your career and your time.
YOU’VE GOT THIS!
Roll up your sleeves and let’s get to work. The rest of your life is waiting for you to take charge!
